Search advocates are collaborative process experts who have completed a two-part workshop series about how to work with search committees to enhance the quality of university search and selection efforts.
Continuing education for OSU's search advocates is focused on ensuring program quality and consistent search practice. This annual update provides the most current research, policies, and evidence-based practice to support search advocates who wish to continue serving in this role.
To serve effectively on OSU search committees, Advocates should have:
1. completed the 2-part Search Advocate series within the last 12 months, or
2. completed the 2-part Search Advocate series more than 12 months ago, AND attended 3 or more Search Advocate learning community brown bag events within the last 12 months, or3. completed the 2-part Search Advocate series more than 12 months ago, AND completed the Search Advocate Update workshop within the last 12 months.
