Follow-Up to Conversational Skills: Perspective, insight, and practice...keys to changing behavior

Description
One of the keys to changing behavior is paying attention to an insight over time. What insights have you had that made a difference to you? Choosing our way of thinking about or relating to the circumstance is another lever in life.  What perspectives do you rely upon? Lastly, things become instinctive only with practice.  Just like muscle memory in sports or yoga, other ideas in life also take practice.

Development in any field takes work.  Fortunately, we can make sure that we keep our focus on the right things. In preparation, consider these questions:

  • What powerful perspectives about life do you have and where did you get them?
  • What are you paying attention to right now?
  • What deliberate practice are you engaged in?
