Data Warehouse SIS

Description
This is a workshop for the Banner Student Information System (SIS) user who requires access to preformatted administrative reports and/or will develop ad-hoc queries and reports in the SIS Data Warehouse. The presentation includes SIS Data Warehouse confidentiality issues and model orientation, followed by demonstration and practice in using the model. The focus of the hands-on portion will be on exploring and modifying the Administrative reports, and introducing the SIS data through exploratory queries, query techniques, and query refinement for Student system reporting.

Prerequisite

You must have successfully completed the Data Warehouse Basics CBT to attend this course.

You must also have completed the FERPA Tutorial, have a minimum of Enrollment level access in Banner SIS, and have a working knowledge of the Banner Student Information System.
Additional Information

The handouts used in this class are: Data Warehouse for OSU and The Student Information System Data Warehouse. Participants are expected to print them and bring them to class.

SIS Data Warehouse access is contengent upon submiting a Request for Access form and mastering this class content.

The course Data Warehouse Extras is also recommended for SIS Data Warehouse users that develop complex queries.
