Data Warehouse HRIS

Description

This is a workshop for the Banner Human Resources Information System (HRIS) user who requires access to preformatted administrative reports and/or will develop ad-hoc queries and reports in the HRIS Data Warehouse. The presentation includes HRIS Data Warehouse confidentiality issues and model orientation, followed by demonstration and practice in using the model. The focus of the hands-on portion will be on exploring and modifying the Administrative reports, and introducing the HRIS data through exploratory queries, query techniques, and query refinement for HR system reporting.

Prerequisite

You must have successfully completed the Data Warehouse Basics CBT to attend this course.

You must also have taken the HRIS Banner workshop, have parallel access in Banner, and have a working knowledge of the Banner Human Resources Information System.

Additional Information

The handouts used in this class are: Data Warehouse for OSU and The Human Resources Information System Data Warehouse. Participants are expected to print them and bring them to class.

HRIS Data Warehouse access is contengent upon submiting a Request for Access form and mastering this class content.

The course Data Warehouse Extras is also recommended for HRIS Data Warehouse users that develop complex queries.
