Brandon Trelstad, Sustainability Coordinator
Brandon helped create and has filled this position since November 2005. Previously, he worked for about four years in OSU’s Government Relations office, during which he interned with Governor Kitzhaber's office. His primary duties include managing communication about sustainability efforts, identifying - and obtaining funding for - conservation and efficiency projects, supporting student and academic sustainability efforts, setting OSU's strategic direction toward sustainability and tracking and reporting on institutional progress toward that strategic direction. Brandon is also the alternative transportation coordinator for OSU. This involves membership on several transit commissions and committees, managing agreements with transit service providers and executing alternative transportation projects.
Sonja Mae, Sustainability Program Specialist
Sonja, hired in January 2012, oversees the OSU metering program, multiple sustainability and energy efficiency related projects with students, faculty and staff and also manages OSU’s Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory and STARS sustainability audit for AASHE. She assists in driving sustainability policy and procedures on campus. Sonja teaches multiple sustainability-related courses in Eugene at Lane Community College for NEEI’s Energy Management Program. She has been teaching at LCC since 2009. She has also been the President for Camas Educational Network since 2009, an environmental and social justice NGO, and has recently become involved with the International Society for Sustainability Professionals (ISSP).
Marshall Moses, Graphic Design Intern
Marshall was hired on at the Sustainability Office in December of 2013 as the Design and Outreach student. He is an undergraduate student in Business with a focus of Graphic Design. Marshall's position is focused on graphic and web design.
Nick Snowhill, Transportation Project Student Technician
Nick joined in August 2012. He is an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering and continues to study about transportation engineering and design. He is in charge of administering Oregon's 'Drive Less. Connect' rideshare system, as well as working on other transportation demand management projects.
Tim Moss, Energy Project Student Technician
Tim joined the Sustainability Office in March 2013. He is an undergraduate student in Construction Engineering Management. He hopes to apply his studies and construction experience to various projects for the department and around campus.
Garin Anderson, Energy Project Student Technician
Garin joined the Sustainability Office in April of 2013. He is an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering. He hopes to apply his studies and construction experience to various projects for the department and around campus. With an emphasis on energy conservation, Garin’s focus is solar trailer upgrades and maintenance, building sustainability audits and reading OSU’s meters.
Paige Thompson, Digital Media and Outreach Intern
Paige joined the Sustainability Office team in May of 2013. She is an undergraduate in the Digital Communication Arts program and is pursuing a minor in Writing. Paige works to connect and reach out to campus on behalf of the office via social media, the web, and public engagement events. She also manages OSU's sustainability blog, the Ecologue.
Pete Lepre, Recycling Program Manager
Pete has been working at OSU since 2006 and has filled this position since October 2007. He manages operations for Campus Recycling. Pete supervises a workforce of about 25 students who complete all the daily recycling routes and responds to special requests from the campus community.
Andrea Norris, Outreach Coordinator
Formerly, director of the ASOSU Environmental Affairs Task Force and Student Sustainability Initiative as a student, Andrea came on board at Campus Recycling in September 2008 to assist with education and outreach. She works to increase awareness of recycling on campus through events, presentations, trainings, informational materials, audits, and collaboration.
