This summer, researcher Mike Conway is coming to Corvallis and Portland to analyze perceptions of bicycle commuters and non-commuters. He is researching certain interventions (e.g. bike lanes, bike parking, education programs, and traffic calming, etc) that promote increased bicycle commuting. This research is part of Mike’s Masters Degree in Social Science with a specialization in Environment and Community at Humboldt State University.
Mike is especially interested in how interventions are perceived as effective or ineffective. As stated in his abstract, his research will aid “planners in developing the most appropriate interventions for their community.” Mike’s research consists of qualitative interviews with bicycle commuters and non-commuters, and he needs more interviewees. If you or someone you know is interested in helping Mike with his research, send him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
