Annual Earth Week Celebration set for April 20-27, 2013

OSU's annual Earth Week celebration is happening this year between April 20st and April 27th! Join in on a variety of engagements and activities focused around environmental education and awareness.

Earth Week Community Fair

Tuesday, April 23, 2013 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Our 13th annual fair with 40+ on- and off-campus groups who work on environmental issues. Learn what's going on in our community and how you can plug yourself in!

Booths will offer games, raffles, prizes, upcycling and craft projects, electric vehicles, live animals and the SolBus, a converted school bus that will be used to install solar panels in Ghana. Other highlights:

  • Free Styrofoam recycling drop-off @ Campus Recycling’s booth: We will accept rigid blocks, bendable blocks, wraps/sheets. (NO: food packaging (cups, plates, trays, egg cartons), expanding foam (insulation, sealant))
  • Native plant sale @ OSU MANRRS booth: We will have a native plant sale at our booth. All plants at the event are native to Oregon and provided by Sevenoaks Native Nursery.
  • Diagnosis of broken electronics @ FixMyGadget’s booth: Bring your item or question for a free diagnosis.
