The OSU Sustainability Office is housed in Facilities Services Environmental Health and Safety, part of the Finance and Administration division. The Sustainability Office was formed by the creation of a full time sustainability coordinator position in November 2005. In December 2007, an additional half-time position was created primarily to support the collection and management of campus utility data.
The Sustainability Office primary area of focus is campus operations, but we also support and collaborate with education, research and Extension communities. Many projects and initiatives overlap these focus areas. Several projects and programs detailed on this website are managed or directly supported by the Office. Some activities are listed under individuals, below. Other ongoing activities include:
Brandon Trelstad, Sustainability Coordinator
Brandon helped create and has filled this position since November 2005. Larger projects include:
In addition, Brandon is also the part-time alternative transportation coordinator for OSU. This includes representing the university on several local transit commissions and steering committees, managing agreements with transit service providers and executing alternative transportation projects.
