For three years Circle K has rallied behind the statewide Food Drive. In conjunction with the Linn-Benton Food Share (LBFS) and Corvallis grocery stores, they organized members to dispense information about the hunger crisis in Oregon and solicit food and cash donations from the stores’ customers. Their goal to surpass the 21,000 pounds of canned food collected in their 2003 food drive was “obliterated”. The organization collected 45,936 lbs. of food that will be distributed to needy families. Circle K’s efforts will feed approximately 1,610 families for three months.
