This year the Education Activities committee made some hard decisions to cut funds to groups that did not meet the Educational Activities guidelines. The committee proved to students that their money will not be spent without careful consideration. As chair of the Education Activities committee Heather has persevered in the face of controversy and unpopular decisions. Even after it seemed like everyone was against the decision Heather stayed strong at countless meetings and open hearings promoting the decisions made and giving explanations as to why. Even after being called out by faculty, staff, and even administrators which put her role as a student at Oregon State in jeopardy, she stayed strong and continued to defend the decisions of the committee.
