Troy Snow - Student Affairs Service Award 2005-06
Statement of Wonderfulness
In Celebration of
As the Facilities and Sports Club Coordinator, Troy oversees all of the Operations Staff and Sports Clubs at Rec. Sports. Not only does he manage the daily operations of Dixon Rec. Center, he also handles the set up and equipment needs for Special Events.
Troy has created a mentor program for Operation Staff undergraduate students, a very important program that has enriched the lives of many students. He is currently working with an intern to create and All Rec. Sports Student Ambassador program. Troy also developed a protocol for equipment/special event requests and set up that has relieved many burdens on the Re. Sports Administrative staff.
Comments from co-workers: Troy in the individual you will see all over the facility at all hours of the day – from 6 a.m. to midnight – you never know when you will see him with a big smile and a handshake to give you! He is caring, works with passion, shares his vision for students and the department through his work, has a tremendous work ethic, leads by example, pushes others to excel, and is a positive example of the Rec. Sports Dignity Statement. Troy is very concerned with student development and works hard to find ways to involve our students in their professional growth, to mentor them about life, career and other needs and help them stay connected to OSU, Rec. Sports and each other.
Rec. Sports is proud of all Troy has done. The one word that represents him the best is PASSIONATE! He is a true and gracious representative of all of the values in the STUAFF Campus Compact.
