Robin Keillor - Student Affairs Service Award 2001-02
Statement of Wonderfulness
In Celebration of
Robin Keillor is the Coordinator of Sexual Assault Support Services through University Counseling and Psychological Services, where she provides group and individual therapy services to survivors of sexual assault. Robin also works as the UCPS liaison to Residential Life, and attends their Resident Director and Cooperative House Director meetings, where she continually provides valuable input. Robin has been described by her colleagues as committed, purposeful, and supportive and is seen as a kindred spirit. She works hard to create the kind of campus community where survivors of sexual assault find the caring support they need in their healing.
Robin has been involved in many committees in her unit and within Student Affairs. She has been a member of the Clinical Services Committee at UCPS, the Sexual Assault Response Network, the Community Health Initiative, Presidents Commission on the Status of Women, the “Take Back the Night” organizing committee and has served on Resident Director search committees for Residential Life. She is generous with her time, often providing presentations in the evening to campus living groups on issues surrounding sexual assault. For her work with Residential Life, Robin has been honored with the University Housing and Dining “Pillar of Excellence Award”. She is one of only two people outside of UHDS to receive this award.
Robin demonstrates the values of the Campus Compact every day. She is a caring and compassionate person who is always willing to lend a hand. She advocates for a responsible, disciplined and just community where students and staff are treated well and with respect. She creates an open atmosphere where people feel comfortable asking questions. There are no “taboos” when you talk with Robin, she is committed to helping people learn and grow. Robin is celebrative of each person’s contributions to our community, and has a joyful heard and quirky sense of humor that makes things more fun for all involved. In short, Robin puts people first, an attribute that shows just where her heart is in her work here at OSU. Thank you Robin, for all you do.
