"From an Assistant Principal's perspective, I believe that PeaceJam is a hidden treasure; it raises youth global awareness, develops critical thinking and actively engages students in social justice issues while giving youth and teachers a sense of hope and purpose.
Again, thank you for the wonderful conference."

José da Silva
Assistant Principal
Monroe Middle School
Eugene, Oregon

"I want to thank all of you again for your extensive community service effort at Avery Park on April 25th, 2009. The Students proved to be very industrious and good-spirited as we went through the myriad of projects at Avery Park.
As you can see in the images, their efforts encompassed a wide variety of projects including landscape clean-up, landscape mulching, hazard trimming, and invasive species removal. Our park system is certainly the better due to their efforts and I look forward to the opportunity of working with you again for future community service projects."

Steve McGettigan
Volunteer Coordinator
Corvallis Parks and Recreation

"Thank you so much for a most meaningful conference. Hearing the story of Pani's efforts to help Shirin (when her office was ransacked and her files confiscated) and then recognizing the impact that PeaceJam played in bringing the plight of Shirin to the attention of an international audience, CNN, and other media, clarified for me the very real immediacy and importance of PEACEJAM in effecting real PEACE and betterment of our world. Thank you for all you do and for helping us all help you.
In appreciation,
take care,"

Barbara Gilson,
Sunnyside Environmental School
Portland, Oregon

"We at Community Outreach would like to express our sincere appreciation for allowing us to be part of 2009 Peace Jam Northwest activities. It was a pleasure working with all of the youth as they accomplished many projects that we might not have had the resources to complete otherwise. And, what a wonderful surprise to have Dr. Shirin Ebadi here to tour our facilities, and see the good work being accomplished. Being part of such a meaningful day was a morale builder for all of us at Community Outreach."
