In Celebration of
Kris currently has served three years on the Student Conduct Committee (including as the Vice Chair), currently serves on the Academic Assessment subgroup, and is a Faculty Senate Representative for the Division of Student Affairs
Kris is creative, and fun with an abundance of energy. Whether she leads the Beaver orientation team or is able to remain enthusiastic during late night events such as the Fred Meyer night, she is always taking initiative and looking for ways of working together.
Kris is all about community, bringing people together and makes it a big deal for students. By having a genuine conviction and caring for students and student success, Kris sets a tone for the university that you see her play out every day.
Calm while moving forward, she makes a big difference in lives of students with her focus on restorative justice which she demonstrates in her role within the conduct committee. Kris is there to support and provide assistance, taking leadership when necessary, always with a great sense of humor. Not afraid to roll up sleeves and get her hands dirty, she demonstrates commitment to the values of the OSU community by welcoming new ideas, being caring, celebrative, playful, and a pleasure to work with.
It is difficult to find just one word to describe Kris but her colleagues describe her as enthusiastic, genuine, dependable, and an awesome colleague!
Personal statements of tribute to Kris include —
“If, in the afterlife, I could be any dog, I’d want to be hers because of how she spoils her dog, Chance!”
