The FSSE was introduced as a pilot study in 2003 and then nationwide in 2004. OSU participated in the pilot study and has participated subsequent to that as well. The FSSE was designed to parallel the National Survey of Student Engagement and to gain information on the perceptions of faculty concerning student behaviors, use of faculty time, and other information related to student engagement.
