Rhianna Taniguchi is a third year Psychology student at Oregon State University. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, she is also on the Board of Directors for the Corvallis Environmental Center and is the only representative from the United States to attend the Helen Storrow Environmental Summit in 2013 with the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in Switzerland. Rhianna is a Senator for the Associated Students of Oregon State University (student government), the Co-President of the Japanese American Student Association, and the Secretary of the Blood Drive Association. She also serves on the National Youth Student Council for the Japanese American Citizen’s League.
Her interest in sustainability is specifically in business and corporate level practices. She has a multi-cultural perspective on environmental issues and hopes to bring her knowledge of grassroots organizing back home to her community once she graduates.
