As Transportation Coordinator at the SSI, Evan Sorce works to make alternative transportation at OSU (bikes, feet, buses, etc.) fun, safe, accessible, and worthwhile.
As Transportation Coordinator for the SSI, Rose Clarke wants to help make the campus and culture of OSU one that encourages students, faculty, and staff to go car-free. Rose, an avid bicyclist from SE Portland, is a second year undergrad studying Biology but currently with no clear career goal less general than "something scientific". She was drawn to the sustainability cause due to her fascination with life sciences as well as her belief that bicycles are the coolest thing since sliced bread. Some of Rose's pastimes include knitting during lectures, exploring lovely downtown Corvallis, reading in the sun, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest.
The Transportation Projects Coordinator (Transportation Coordinator) will be responsible for actively participating in transportation projects that engage students with the various institutions of the OSU community to make them more sustainable.
Staff transition training will begin May 5th, 2014 and run approximately 10 hours during the spring term. Summer hours may be available. All-staff training is required and runs September 10th-26th, 2014. Staff work from 10-15 hours per week during the academic year.
