Event: Foraging for Medicine

Foraging for Food Medicine and More
February 12, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cordley Hall Loading Docks

Spring is on the way and plants are sprouting; come to Marys Peak to collect plants and fungi for later preparation. We will mainly focus on native plants and will delve into ethnobotany (the way native peoples used plants).

Bring warm layers, a raincoat, adequate shoes, water and food (for lunch), as we'll be out for more than a few hours. We'll meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 12th at the Cordley Hall Loading docks (west side) for carpooling and return sometime before sunset (around 5:00 p.m.).

The trip will be guided by Alija Mujik (Mycology PhD student) and Zak Weinstein (Senior in Botany). For more information contact Zak Weinstein at zakariahweinstein@gmail.com.
