Marie Anselm is the Food Projects Coordinator at SSI and works to increase student knowledge and campus awareness of sustainability issues related to food. Food sustainability spans a wide range of issues and Marie tries to incorporate as many of these as possible in her outreach to the OSU community. As part of her work with the SSI, Marie is also the current co-chair of the Food Assessment Committee, a group of OSU staff whose goal is to assess the current state of food on OSU’s campus and make recommendations as to how to strengthen OSU’s food sustainability efforts. Marie is a current graduate student in the masters of public policy program where she focuses on rural, agricultural, and food policy and will complete her degree in June 2013. On the rare occasion that Marie is not studying or working on agricultural policy, she enjoys biking, cooking, hiking, and traveling.
