Brandon Trelstad
Brandon Trelstad is OSU’s Sustainability Coordinator and one of two advisors for the SSI. He helps with organizational planning, SSI staff execute projects and Fee Board support, amongst other things for the organization. Brandon has worked at OSU since 2001 and has been Sustainability Coordinator since 2005, the first to hold the new position at the university. His personal passion for sustainability and professional responsibility make this job a great fit for Brandon, and his coordinating role has enabled OSU to be recognized as a national leader in higher education sustainability. Much of his work has been to highlight in ways that correspond to national protocols the efforts of colleagues and students, thereby making their efforts more visible. Brandon graduated from OSU in 2002 with a BS in environmental science. Now that sustainability efforts have taken off at OSU, he continues to push the institution to be greener and further improve the engagement of students, faculty, staff, and community members. In his spare time, Brandon enjoys fixing stuff like old cars, houses and other toys. He also enjoys concert-going, travelling, indoor soccer and outdoor summer sports.
