The following services are available in the area of Cultural Resources...

  • Lonnie B. Harris Black Cultural Center - The Black Cultural Center (BCC) is dedicated to the enhancement of a greater understanding and awareness of Africans and African Americans, their history, lifestyle, challenges and cultural traits. The BCC offers various academic, cultural, recreational and social events related to African and African American culture. The BCC houses literature and resources on African and African American culture. It also has computers, classrooms for study groups, and a large living room where students can relax and unwind. It is meant to be a home away from home for African and African American students and a place where the promotion of common understanding and effective communication between cultures is encouraged
  • Centro Cultural César Chávez - The Cesar Chavez Cultural Center was established to provide a location and facility for programming various academic, cultural, recreational and social events related to the Chicano/ Latino/ Hispanic culture and heritage. It exists to support different ethnic and cultural peoples' pursuit of their educational goals and the retention of their culture.
  • Native American Longhouse Cultural Center - provide a gathering place for hosting cultural ceremonies, classes, conferences, lectures, performances, retreats and community events.
  • Asian and Pacific Cultural Center - The Asian & Pacific Cultural Center provides academic, cultural, recreational, and social programs/activities related, but not limited to the Asian/Pacific Island cultures and heritages.
  • Educational Opportunities Program – The Educational Opportunities Program (EOP) provides support for non traditional students. These include students of color, older than average students, students with disabilities, single parents, low-income students, and students who have been rurally isolated.
