Sexual Assault Support Services
Sexual Assault Support Service Coordinator: (541) 737-7604
Provides confidential support and counseling for survivors. Contact if you are seeking
information regarding support services on campus and in Corvallis, individual or group counseling
services, or desiring assistance in connecting survivor with other resources. Sexual Assault Support
Services team members also provide educational and consultation services, and advocacy for survivors
of unwanted sexual contact. This office can also assist in providing some advocacy services on campus
for students who may need additional assistance.
University Counseling &

University Counseling and Psychological Services provides a variety of services to help students
address the challenges and difficulties they face. These difficulties might include academic problems,
problems with friends or family, depression, anxiety, procrastination, problems resulting from
childhood abuse or sexual assault, low self-esteem, anxiety about dating or sexuality, eating problems
or disorders, alcohol or substance misuse, or career indecision.

OSU Student Health Services offers medical support and resources for health concerns that have
stemmed from sexual assault. They can provide STD screening and treatment, pregnancy testing and emergency
contraception (i.e., the "morning after" pill), and follow-up care. Female and
male physicians and nurse practitioners are available.

Contact Oregon State Police/Department of Public Safety for sexual assault awareness programs, as a
resource for questions or comments regarding sexual assault, and/or to file a criminal complaint or
to report problems related to assault or harassment.
Student Conduct & Mediation

To report an incident of sexual assault or harassment or other form of misconduct, or for questions
regarding the University's policies and procedures, the Student Conduct & Mediation Programs may be
contacted. This office investigates complaints, and can arrange a disciplinary review process with
the accused student. The range of sanctions and outcomes can include suspension or expulsion, or
probation or a warning, with required educational activities, community service, and/or restrictions
assigned to the accused.

If you need help sorting out your options after an assault, if you have
a friend or partner who has been assaulted or if you just need someone
to listen, the staff at OSU's Women’s Center will be happy
to assist you.

Project Safe Ride offers women students a ride home after dark.

To report sexual harassment, students and staff may file a formal or informal complaint with the
Affirmative Action Office. This office provides investigation and resolution to complaints.

If you would like to know your options for reporting the assault to legal authorities or to OSU
Student Conduct and Mediation, or if you have already made a report and would like to understand what
to expect next, please contact one of the following offices. Trained, situation-sensitive staff will
speak with you about your options WITHOUT making any official report unless you decide that is what
you want.
Dean of Students' Office: (541) 737-8748.
The Dean of Students' Office can provide support in several ways. The Dean of Students' office can
assist survivors with resolving academic, registration, and financial aid issues during the aftermath
of sexual assault. The Conduct Officer can discuss options, and (at your request) pursue OSU
sanctions against alleged perpetrators, and can enforce OSU policies and procedures regarding sexual
assault.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Advocate: (541) 737-6357
The OSU LGBA is a student group that supports and provides programs for lesbian, gay, and bisexual
students. They can help you find appropriate campus and community resources.

The Office of Community and Diversity assists the University in promoting
cultural diversity, awareness, and sensitivity throughout the campus community.
It provides leadership in promoting an
environment responsive to the diversity of groups represented at OSU.
OSU Disabled Student Affairs: (541) 737-0734
Disabled Student Affairs Task Force coordinates educational programming and advocacy on issues
concerning educational access, discrimination, recruitment/retention of faculty with disabilities and
building/event access for students with disabilities.

The mission of the Office of Greek Life is to build relationships with students that inspire and
engage the founding ideals of the Greek Movement. We actively promote diversity and seek to serve as
the first stop in the learning process of all Greek Community members.
Residence Life Center: (541) 737-8754
University housing staff, such as Hall Directors and Residence Assistants, are often the first
persons in which a student confides her or his rape or assault. Staff can assist survivors with
immediate care, or with referrals for on-going needs.
