The Faculty Senate is the governing body at Oregon State University, representing faculty in all academic and administrative units. It has legislative responsibility regarding academic policies, educational standards, curricula, academic regulations, faculty welfare, and makes recommendations to University administration.
| Due to the announcement that PEBB is replacing Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield with the Providence Health Plan as the health care provider for OUS beginning January 2010, the Faculty Senate has invited PEBB and Providence representatives to attend the June 11 Faculty Senate meeting. Because we have heard concerns from faculty regarding this decision, you are encouraged to share your concerns via an anonymous online comment form; comments will be forwarded to PEBB and they will be requested to address these concerns during the Faculty Senate meeting. |
OSU’s Economic Situation Faculty are invited to send their ideas, comments or concerns to the Faculty Senate Executive Committee about the current economic situation via an anonymous comment form. Comments will be reviewed and presented to OSU leadership. We appreciate your willingness to take time to forward your comments to the Executive Committee. Faculty were also invited to participate in small group sessions with President Ray to discuss concerns; no more sessions are scheduled at this time. |
