The OSU Extended Education Faculty Achievement Award award recognizes significant and meritorious achievement which enhances the effectiveness of extended education. The award is for full-time faculty with five or more years of service to OSU who devote a significant amount of time to extended education, whether on or off campus. This includes tenured, tenure-track, and fixed-term faculty. The recipient receives a plaque and $2,000.

Nomination Process
Nominations shall include: (1) the completed nomination form; (2) the nominee's vita highlighting contributions to extended education; (3) position description indicating breakdown of FTE allocation; (4) educational program evaluations; and (5) three letters of support: one shall be from a current or former student; one shall be from a current or emeritus faculty member; and the third may be from current or emeritus faculty, clientele, current or former students, alumni, or others who can provide evidence of the nominee's achievements. The nominator is not eligible to submit a letter of support. The letters of support each shall not exceed three single-sided pages using at least 12 font and 1" margins. Please be certain that the nomination materials, particularly the three letters, address the criteria. Signatures on the letters and supporting documents must be included, but may be electronic. Please note: The nomination packet for the successful recipient becomes University property and will not be returned to the nominator.
Selection Process
Nominations will be reviewed and selected by the Faculty Recognition and Awards Committee and a member of the Advancement of Teaching Committee. Committee recommendations will be made on the basis of the information submitted; the committee does not solicit additional information.
