The agenda for the January Senate meeting will include the reports and other items of business listed below.

1. ACTION ITEMS

   1. Install Elected Officials
      

      Installation of President Leslie Davis Burns; President-Elect Jack Higginbotham; new Executive Committee members: Linda Bruslind, Theo Dreher and John Selker; Interinstitutional Faculty Senate Senator, Joan Gross; and newly elected Faculty Senators.

   2. Approval of Parliamentarian
      

      Approval of Michael Beachley as Faculty Senate Parliamentarian.

2. SPECIAL REPORTS

   1. Interinstitutional Faculty Senate
      

      Ron Reuter, Senior IFS Senator, will provide a brief recap of the January IFS meeting.

   2. Emergency Preparedness
      

      Being prepared for a campus emergency/disaster cannot hurt, it can only help! This short two part presentation will let you know what is happening at OSU in respect to emergency/disaster planning. Steve LeBoeuf, Environmental Health and Safety, will outline the over-all campus plan and what you need to know to become involved and Jack Rogers, Public Safety, will explain what to do in a classroom emergency, specifically an "active shooter" on campus.

   1. Faculty Senate Calendar
      

      Please reserve the following dates for Faculty Senate meetings during 2010; check your monthly agenda to determine the location. All meetings are scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM:

      • 2010 - February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, October 14, November 11 and December 9.
   2. Faculty Senate Handbook
      

      Faculty Senate Handbook materials can be found on the Senate web site. The web site contains information about Senators, committees, agendas, minutes, etc.

   3. Awards Solicitation
      The Faculty Recognition and Awards Committee is accepting nominations for the below awards; for further information, contact Vickie Nunnemaker .
