FACULTY SENATE AGENDA

The agenda for the May Senate meeting will include the reports and other items of business listed below.

  1. SPECIAL REPORT
    1. Athletics Update
      President Ed Ray and Athletic Director Bob DeCarolis will jointly present information related to the overall Athletic Department budget and funding.

  2. ACTION ITEMS
    1. Category I Name Change Proposal
      Carol Brown, Curriculum Council Chair, will present a proposal to change the name of the Department of 4-H Youth Development Education to the Department of Youth Development Education.
    2. College Level P&T Recommendations
      Jim Liburdy, Promotion and Tenure Committee Chair, will present revised college level recommendations.

  3. INFORMATION ITEMS
    1. Budget Update Website
      OSU’s State of the Budget website includes information about the President's Advisory Council on Budget and Strategic Priorities, the PowerPoint used at the April 30 joint special session of the Faculty Senate and ASOSU Senate, Budget FAQs, etc.
    2. Faculty Senate Special Session – June 2
      The second Faculty Senate special session scheduled to address budget issues is will be held June 2 in the OSU Theatre from 3-5 PM. Senators should arrange for a proxy if they are unable to attend.
    3. PEBB
      PEBB voted to self-insure the statewide medical plan beginning 2010; information is available at http://pebb.das.state.or.us/.
