FACULTY SENATE AGENDA

The agenda for the February Senate meeting will include the reports and other items of business listed below.

1. DISCUSSION ITEM

   1. Presidents Climate Commitment

      Denise Lach and Ken Williamson will present for discussion and input the attached American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment. Also attached are frequently asked questions and a document describing accomplishments to date, as well as the feasibility of OSU compliance with the commitment.

2. SPECIAL REPORTS

   1. Interinstitutional Faculty Senate
      

      Paul Doescher, IFS Senator, will briefly recap the February Interinstitutional Faculty Senate meeting.

   2. Baccalaureate Core Follow Up
      

      President Quinn will discuss steps that have been taken since the Baccalaureate Core discussion at the January Faculty Senate meeting.

3. INFORMATION ITEMS

   1. University Faculty Award Nominations

      A memo has been sent to deans, directors, and department heads/chairs informing them that nominations will be accepted until April 10 for the faculty awards listed below. The criteria and nomination form for each award is linked to the Individual Awards page on the web.
      

      OSU has a highly qualified faculty and few opportunities to recognize their contributions - we depend on you to facilitate nominations for these awards.

   2. Learning Disability Subsidy

      Attached is information regarding a subsidy available to students needing evaluation for a learning disability or Attention Deficit Disorder.
