   1. Category I Proposals

      Mary Cluskey, Curriculum Council co-chair, will present the following proposals which can be found online at http://oregonstate.edu/ap/curriculum/cat1sweb/index.htm.

   1. Name change for the B.S. in Forest Recreation Resources to Recreation Resource Management
   2. Proposal to Change the Name for the Department of Bioengineering to Biological and Ecological Engineering and for the M.S. and PhD degrees from Bioresources Engineering to Ecological Engineering
   3. Proposal to Change the Name of the Graduate Certificate in Health Care Administration to Graduate Certificate in Health Management and Policy
   4. Proposal to Change the Name of the BS in Health Care Administration to BS in Health Management and Policy
   5. Proposal to Change the Name for Degrees and Minor in Health Promotion and Education
   1. B.S. Health Promotion and Education to B.S. Health Promotion and Health Behavior

2. DISCUSSION ITEM

   1. OSU Procedures for Handling Allegations of Research Misconduct

      Larry Curtis will present for discussion the OSU Procedures for Handling Allegations of Research Misconduct.

3. SPECIAL REPORTS

   1. Facilities Services

      Stella Coakley (2004 Faculty Senate President) will present an overview of the Facilities Services Survey conducted by the Faculty Senate Office in summer 2005. Vincent Martorello (Interim Director of Facilities Services; Associate Director, University Planning; and Transit & Parking Services Manager) will present a summary of the follow-up that has occurred and that is planned for in the immediate future. Results of the 12 question survey can be found at http://oregonstate.edu/dept/senate/agen/2006/fssurvey.pdf. There were 321 individuals who responded to the Survey which was made available on the web from July-August, 2005.

   2. Interinstitutional Faculty Senate

      Larry Curtis, IFS Senator, will provide a brief recap of the December and February meetings.

4. INFORMATION ITEMS

   1. Distinguished Service Award Nominations

      Nominations are being accepted for the OSU Distinguished Service Award through March 10, 2005. The Oregon State University Distinguished Service Award is awarded to persons, and in some cases to organizations, who have made exceptional contributions, or who have rendered unusual service, to society.

      While persons or organizations receiving the awards need not have any connection with Oregon State University, most of those previously selected have had some OSU connection. Generally, the Distinguished Service Award is not awarded to current staff members or persons with emeritus status, except under unusual circumstances. Contributions beyond OSU, to the state, the region, the nation and/or the world, are critical.

   2. Information Technology Accessibility

      OSU has new guidelines to assist the University community in making its programs and services provided through information technology accessible to persons with disabilities. Any questions regarding these Information Technology Accessibility at OSU Guidelines can be directed to Angelo Gomez at angelo.gomez@oregonstate.edu.

   3. University Faculty Award Nominations

      A memo has been sent to deans, directors, and department heads/chairs informing them that nominations will be accepted until April 10 for the faculty awards listed below. The criteria and nomination form for each award is linked to the Individual Awards page on the web.

      OSU has a highly qualified faculty and few opportunities to recognize their contributions - we depend on you to facilitate nominations for these awards.
