Executive Committee Election
See attached biographical sketches. Voting will take place during the meeting by Senators, proxies, and ex-officio members only. Three people will be elected for two-year terms beginning January 2006. Continuing EC members and their apportionment units are: Tracy Bentley-Townlin, Associated Faculty; Lynda Cuiffetti, Agricultural Sciences; and Bob Mason, Science.
Faculty Senate Election Results
President Jeff Hale will announce the results of the President-Elect and Interinstitutional Faculty Senate election.
Interinstitutional Faculty Senate Recap
Mina Carson, IFS Senator, will briefly recap the October and December meetings.
University Advancement Strategy: Telling the Stories of Our Faculty
Luanne Lawrence, Vice President for University Advancement, will showcase
some of Advancement's work and its message strategy, showcasing the
impact that promotion of faculty research has already had in enhancing
OSU’s image.
Proposed Consensual Relationship Policy and Faculty Grievance Addition
Angelo Gomez, Director of Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity, will present the proposed Consensual Relationship Policy that was previously discussed with the Faculty Senate. He will also advise the Senate of an addition to the Faculty Grievance procedure for discrimination complaints.
Executive Committee Election Results
President Hale will announce the results of the Executive Committee election.
New Senator Orientation
The New Senator Orientation will be held January 12. If you are a continuing Senator, but were not able to attend the orientation when you were elected, please contact the Faculty Senate Office at 541-737-4344 if you would like to attend the upcoming session.
Update on Facilities Services Survey
There were 321 individuals who responded to the Faculty Senate sponsored "Facilities Services Customer Satisfaction Survey" that was open for campus-wide comment during the summer of 2005. The outcome of the survey and the follow-up planned by Facilities Services will be presented at the February 2006 Faculty Senate Meeting. The twelve questions each allowed the respondent to provide comments, and these will be useful in helping identify some of the areas needing attention. Comments relative to classroom space and other space utilization will be shared with the University's Space Committee that is currently working under the leadership of Dean Mark Abbott.
