The agenda for the December Senate meeting will include the reports and other items of business listed below.

ELECTION RESULTS
President Stella Coakley will announce the results of the President-Elect and Interinstitutional Faculty Senate election.

Executive Committee Election
See attached biographical sketches. Voting will take place during the meeting by Senators, proxies, and ex-officio members only. Three people will be elected for two-year terms beginning January 2005. Continuing EC members are: Joan Gross, Liberal Arts; Mike Quinn, Engineering; and Juan Trujillo, Liberal Arts.

Fixed-Term Faculty Task Force - Final Report
Deborah Healey, Fixed-Term Faculty Task Force Chair, will present the final report and recommendations.

Disruptive & Distressed Student Behavior
Jackie Balzer, Interim Dean of Students, will present information regarding
Responding to Disruptive Behavior,
Responding to Distressed Behavior, and the
Critical Incident Response Team.

University Advancement and University Ad Campaign
Luanne Lawrence, Vice President for University Advancement, will summarize the responsibilities of her position. John
Russell, President of Leopold Ketel Advertising Agency, will briefly outline
the new university ad campaign.

Executive Committee Election Results
President Coakley will report on the outcome of the Executive Committee election.

New Senator Orientation
The New Senator Orientation will be held January 13. If you are a continuing Senator, but were not able to attend the orientation when you were elected, please contact the Faculty Senate Office at 541-737-4344 if you would like to attend the upcoming session.

1039-Hour Appointments
Retired Faculty Senators whose terms extend beyond December 31, 2004, and whose 1039-hour appointments terminate fall term, are no longer eligible to serve as a Senator. If you fall into this category, please contact the Faculty Senate Office at 737-4344 so a replacement can be appointed to complete the remainder of your term.
Faculty whose Senate committee/council terms extend beyond December 31, 2004, and whose 1039-hour appointments terminate fall term, are no longer eligible to continue serving. If you are not filling a specified emeritus/retired position on the committee/council on which you serve, or if you are unsure, please contact the Faculty Senate Office so a determination may be made and/or a replacement identified.
