1. Apportionment Issues
   Nancy Rosenberger, Bylaws and Nominations Committee Chair, will present for approval a recommendation for a proposed Library apportionment unit and the proposed merger of the Information Services apportionment unit with the Associated Faculty apportionment unit.

   Juan Trujillo and Janet Nishihara will present information about an upcoming survey to be distributed to all OSU employees and students.

1. University Awards
   
   Nomination packets for the following awards are due in the Faculty Senate Office on April 7:
   
   Richard M. Bressler Senior Faculty Teaching Award
   D. Curtis Mumford Faculty Service Award
   OSU Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award
   OSU Extended Education Faculty Achievement Award
   OSU Faculty Teaching Excellence Award
   OSU Professional Faculty Excellence Award
   Outstanding Faculty Research Assistant Award
   Dar Reese Excellence in Advising Award
   Elizabeth P. Ritchie Distinguished Professor Award
   
   The criteria and nomination form for each award, as well as other awards presented at University Day, can be found on the web in an Awards Summary Table.
   
   
2. Committee Interest Form
   
   The Committee Interest Form for University and Faculty Senate committees and councils is available for online submission. The forms can either be submitted electronically or via paper. When possible, Faculty Senate committee/council members are selected from those who respond to the Committee Interest Form. Please consider volunteering for committees. Standing Rules for each Faculty Senate committee/council are available for viewing online. Please contact the Faculty Senate Office if you have difficulty accessing the form.
   
   
3. Faculty Senate Meetings
   
   The remaining spring Faculty Senate meetings will be as follows:

   May 13 – Valley Football End Zone
   June 10 – LaSells Stewart Center Construction and Engineering Hall

4. Fixed-Term Faculty Task Force
   The Faculty Senate's Fixed-Term Faculty Task Force has been charged with building on the work of the Professional Faculty Task Force and preparing recommendations that "clarify and formalize the commitments and opportunities that OSU can reasonably expect from fixed-term faculty and the commitments that fixed-term faculty can reasonably expect from OSU." Of particular interest are how to determine excellent performance and how to reward excellence.

   The Task Force is preparing a survey for all non-tenured/non-tenure-track fixed-term faculty: instructors, research assistants and associates, and professional faculty. We would like to encourage all fixed-term faculty to participate in this survey. For questions, please contact Deborah Healey at 737-6985.
