- OSU CONNECT 2003 - September 23 through September 28;
Proposal deadline is February 24
OSU CONNECT is the second step in Oregon State University's three-step
process of orienting new students to campus. OSU CONNECT follows OSU
START, the summer academic advising and registration program; and precedes
OSU Odyssey, the one-credit new student orientation course.
As you are aware, one of the most important transition times for students
is during the first week they are on campus. At this time, students are
introduced to OSU's values and expectations as a community of scholars,
begin to create meaningful ties with other students, staff and faculty
and begin to feel a part of the OSU community. Thus, a student's
successful first-year experience begins with a successful OSU CONNECT
program.
In order to create a coordinated OSU CONNECT program, Student Orientation
and Retention (SOAR) Programs is soliciting proposals from OSU departments
and groups wanting to be part of this exciting event. A Request For
Proposals (RFP) packet for new or existing programs is available by contacting
Jennifer (Kuzeppa) Specter at 737-0582 or jennifer.kuzeppa@oregonstate.edu.
Only programs approved through the RFP process will be included in OSU CONNECT
scheduling and marketing. Thank you for supporting OSU CONNECT!
