1. Executive Committee Election
See attached biographical sketches. Voting will take place during the meeting by Senators, proxies, and ex-officio members only. Three people will be elected for two-year terms beginning January 2002. Continuing EC members are: Dan Arp, Agricultural Sciences; Paul Doescher, Agricultural Sciences; and Mary Prucha, Associated.
2. Category I Proposals
Mike Quinn, Curriculum Council Chair, will present three Category I proposals:
a) Rename the MS and PhD Degrees in Forest Products to Wood Science
b) Rename the BS Degree in Forest Products to Wood Science and Technology
c) Creation of a College of Health and Human Sciences The response from the Budgets and Fiscal Planning Committee regarding this proposal is attached.
1. Faculty Senate Election Results
Gordon Matzke, Bylaws and Nominations Committee Chair, will report on the outcome of the election for Faculty Senate President-Elect and Interinstitutional Faculty Senate Senator.2. Status of Budget and Redesign
Provost Tim White will report on the status of budget and redesign conversations.3. OSU's Financial Management Plan
Mark McCambridge, Vice President for Finance and Administration, will report on the Financial Management Plan for Oregon State University.
1. Faculty Salaries
President Rosenberger will lead a discussion regarding faculty salary raises. The Faculty Economic Welfare and Retirement Committee and the Executive Committee have recommended continual salary raises in order to attempt to achieve parity with our peer institutions; others question whether faculty should receive raises in a time of budget reduction.2. Redesign Document and Process
President Rosenberger will lead a discussion concerning the recently released redesign document and the general redesign process.
