The agenda for the May Senate meeting will include the reports and other items of business listed below. To be approved are the minutes of the April Senate meeting, as published and distributed to Senators.
A. DISCUSSION ITEM

1. Difference, Power and Discrimination Recommendations and Report
Alexis Walker, DPD Task Force Chair, will discuss the recommendations and report related to the DPD Baccalaureate Core Requirement. The Baccalaureate Core Committee has provided an endorsement of the DPD Task Force Recommendations.

B. SPECIAL REPORTS

1. University Goals
Kay Schaffer, College of Liberal Arts Dean, will report on Compelling Learning Experiences as they relate to the University Goals.

2. Valley Library Journal Cancellations
Karyle Butcher, University Librarian, will discuss the proposed journal cancellations.

C. INFORMATION ITEM

1. Input Requested
Henry Sayre, NCAA Compliance Committee Chair for the Athletics Certification effort, is asking faculty to review a proposed Mission Statement for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Any comments should be directed to him at hsayre@orst.edu or 737-5018.
