Using the OSU Proxy Server with PAC File

Note: If you configure your web browser to use the PAC file you may need to disable it when you connect to a network off campus.

Internet Explorer - Windows

Click on Tools menu and choose Internet Options.
Choose the Connections tab and click on LAN Settings.
Check Use automatic configuration script, then type: http://oregonstate.edu/proxy.pac
Click OK, then close IE and reopen it

Firefox - Windows (Download Firefox)

Click on Tools menu and choose Options...
Choose Advanced (at the top), then the Network tab, click on the Settings... button
Select Automatic proxy configuration URL:, then type: http://oregonstate.edu/proxy.pac
Click OK, then close Firefox and reopen it

Firefox - Macintosh (Download Firefox)

Click on the Firefox menu and choose Preferences
Choose Advanced (at the top), then the Network tab, click on the Settings... button
Select Automatic proxy configuration URL:, then type: http://oregonstate.edu/proxy.pac
Click OK, then close Firefox and reopen it
