Co-op Printer Setup


Windows Vista/XP/2000 Instructions

  1. Select the printer you wish to install from the following list:
  2. If prompted, choose to download the file to your desktop, where you can then double click it.
    Please note: Depending on your version of Windows and antivirus software, you may be asked for permission to continue with the installation. If so, simply choose to continue and the installation should proceed as normal.

Windows 98/Me

The automated printer installation does not support Windows ME or prior Windows versions. If you are running an older version of Windows please contact the ResNet Helpdesk where we can try to locate older printer drivers.

Macintosh OS X Instructions


Avery & Azalea Instructions Below

Dixon & Oxford Instructions

  1. Download the file print driver to your desktop, where you can then click on it to begin the installation.
    If you are prompted for authentication, simply enter your password and click continue.
  2. Press agree if you accept the license agreement.
  3. Click the install button and close the LaserJet Readme that appears once the installation is complete.
  4. In the Finish Up page of the installer choose to quit.
    Close all open screens so that you are back at your desktop.
  5. Click the Apple logo in the upper left of your screen and select System Preferences.
  6. Open the Print & Fax panel.
  7. Click the + button to open the Printer Browser and click the button labeled "IP Printer".
    Fill in the settings as follows:
    • Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
    • Address: If you are living in Dixon Lodge, type dixonprinter.resnet.oregonstate.edu. If you are living in Oxford House, type oxfordprinter.resnet.oregonstate.edu.
    • Queue: Leave Blank
    • Name: Type the name of your Co-op i.e. Dixon printer
    • Location: Oregon State University
    • Print Using: HP LaserJet P2015 Series

  8. Dixon & Oxford: click the Add button and choose the following options on the Installable Options page:

  9. Lastly, click Continue.
    The Co-op printer is now installed and ready to use! Simply choose it from the list of available printers.

Avery & Azalea Instructions

  1. Click the Apple logo in the upper left of your screen and select System Preferences.
  2. Open the Print & Fax panel.
  3. Click the + button to open the Printer Browser and click the button labeled "IP Printer".
    Fill in the settings as follows:

    • Address: If you are living in Avery Lodge, type averyprinter.resnet.oregonstate.edu. If you are living in Azalea House, type azaleaprinter.resnet.oregonstate.edu.
    • Queue: Leave Blank
    • Name: Type the name of your Co-op i.e. Avery printer
    • Location: Oregon State University
    • Print Using: HP Laserjet 3300 Series

  4. Avery & Azalea: click the Add button and choose the following options on the Installable Options page
  5. Lastly, click Continue.
    The Co-op printer is now installed and ready to use! Simply choose it from the list of available printers.
