This technology is related to cancer treatment. More particularly, the present invention related to the isolation, structure, and purification, of the novel antiproliferative cyclic peptide compound Coibamide A. Coibamide A was isolated and purified from a Panamanian marine cyanobacterium and it acts as chemotherapeutic agent
