Oregon State University's Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) facilitates the transfer of technologies developed at OSU to companies for the commercialization of inventions. The OTT's ultimate goal for the outstanding research, which occurs at OSU, is the commercialization of inventions for the public's greater use and benefit. The OTT also provides economic development to Oregon-based companies and Oregon constituents. The OTT assists faculty and departments on the education of patents and intellectual property, manages OSU's patent portfolio, and assists in identifying, protecting, developing and licensing OSU inventions.
