Berry Treat Berry works to protect OSU inventions and to create commercial opportunities in support of industry and university research programs, working closely with the College of Agricultural Sciences researchers in commercializing new inventions. Berry came to OSU in 2011 with a broad background in agricultural research and research administration. He was the Senior Commercialization Associate of Life Sciences at Utah State University’s Office of Technology Commercialization and Development. He also served at the University of Florida’s Institute for Food and Agricultural Sciences, as an Assistant Director for Research Programs and Germplasm Manager, specializing in intellectual property protection and commercial licensing. At Coors Brewing Co., an industry Fortune 500 marketing company, Berry was involved in all aspects of applied industrial science and research management, last holding the position of Department Head for Malting Barley Research. He was responsible for breeding several malting barleys used exclusively by Coors. Berry earned BS and MS degrees in the agricultural sciences from Colorado State University and was an Ag Engineering Lecturer/Researcher at Kansas State University.
