Oregon State University recognizes both the importance of animals in research and teaching, and the scientific and ethical responsibility for their care and use.  The OSU IACUC assures the welfare and well-being of all vertebrate animals used for research and educational purposes within the University program, according to the Guide and all federal, state and institutional regulations.  Our program maintains USDA registration, PHS Assurance and AAALAC accreditation.  In doing so, we serve our animals, researchers, institution, and the public.
