Who determines if a conflict of interest exists?
The COI Officer is responsible for identifying and managing conflicts of interest in research. The COI Officer determines that a COI exists if there is a reasonable expectation that an investigator’s significant financial interest could influence the conduct of OSU research. At the COI Officer’s direction, members of the COI Committee will provide advice and input on whether a conflict.
