Assist with the administration and evaluation of the Sport Club Program of 36 clubs and ensures each club and the 1,200+ student athletes, coaches/instructors, and advisors comply with university and department policies.
Advise and coordinate participants and their leadership on matters of club management, organizational development, university procedures, and supporting of resolution on conflict or discipline matters within sport club program.
Coordinate and implement the leadership trainings/meetings for officers, participants, and volunteer coaches/instructors including: fall officer training, monthly club officer meetings, coach/instructor orientations, and spring officer transition trainings and provide additional trainings as necessary.
Provide coordination and advising of club activities including travel arrangements, hosting of major club events as well as provide assistance in clubs promotion, fundraising, and equipment inventory.
Attend and/or supervise on and off campus club events.
Participate in student mentor program.
Assist with other department activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, or Sport Management or other related degree.
Prefer experience within participating, advising, and club administration.
Experience in supervision of student employees preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and web-page application.
Stipend:($15,776 plus tuition waiver)
