Healthy Living Tips

Always warm up and cool down to reduce sore muscles and decrease injury risk

Sports Clubs

Compete at an intercollegiate level by joining a sport club in one of twenty five interesting areas. Because clubs largely define their own activity, this is an excellent opportunity to practice leadership, organization and teaching skills, as well as skills unique to the sport itself. Interested participants can join a club by attending a club practice, contacting a club officer, or filling out a club information form at the Sports Clubs office.

Joining a sport club is easy!
The contact information for all sport club officers is available either in the sport club office or on the sport club bulletin board in Dixon Recreation Center. Call or write the officer for that club to find out practice locations and times. You can also contact the Coordinator for Sport Clubs (737-4083).

Fees

Although clubs are partially funded through the Department of Recreational Sports they still need to collect dues from their members and fund raise to fully support themselves. Club dues vary from club to club and most are very minimal. The club officer can tell you exactly what dues are required to join their club.

New Clubs

Is there a club you are interested in forming? For information on forming a new sport club please contact the Coordinator for Sport Clubs and Special Programs, at (541) 737-4083.
