Purchase memberships and passes with check, cash, credit or student account at the Recreational Services Desk. Faculty and Staff can also purchase annual or 9-month memberships by signing up for payroll deduction prior to Nov. 2, 2007.

An affiliate is a spouse or domestic partner of a current OSU student, staff, faculty, or OSU graduate, as evidenced by a signed affidavit.
An Alumni Association Member is a person who is a current member of the OSU Alumni Association, as evidenced by an Alumni Association membership card.
An annual membership is valid for one academic year, and is available for purchase only during fall term. An annual membership expires on the first Friday of the following fall term.
An associate is a permanent employee of certain organizations and governmental agencies that are housed on OSU campuses and provide teaching, research or funding for OSU programs.
A climbing center community membership is valid for one academic term, and is available for purchase any time throughout the year. A climbing center community membership expires on the first Friday of the following term.
A daily pass allows membership benefits for one day only – the day of purchase.
Legal dependents who are at least eight years of age are eligible for dependent memberships with the following conditions....

Persons under eight years old are not eligible for membership.

Academic Year: May only use the facility Sat & Sun, between 10:00am and 4:00pm or during Family Swim or Family Climb programs. Click here for hours.
Summer and Breaks - May use the facility all operating hours with the following restrictions:
- May only take part in non-contact, non-competitive, individual sports such as badminton, pickle ball, table tennis, racquetball, squash, tennis, wallyball, and non-competitive basketball, soccer or volleyball
- May not use the weight rooms, cardio rooms, or speed bag room and may not use mechanical or combative equipment
Dependents 16 and older are eligible to purchase a Dependent Membership
Available to Students/Members and OSU Community. No additional memberships or purchases are required. Dependents 16 & older:- May use the facilities unaccompanied by an adult- May use all facilities during open hours; academic year and breaks. Click here for hours.
- Are not eligible for most services, programs, trips or classes with the exception of specifically designed, age-appropriate programs.
A student that was enrolled in classes the previous term, paying full incidental fees, as evidenced by the OSU Identification Center, is in extended status.
Faculty is anyone filling a regular, courtesy, affiliate, emeritus, or international visitor position at OSU, as evidenced by the OSU identification center.
The general public is that group of people who have no formal relationship with Oregon State University.
A half-term membership is valid for the latter half of a term. It is available for purchase on the fifth week of the term, except during summer term, when a mid-point is determined based on facility availability. A half-term membership is activated on the day of purchase and expires on the Friday of the first week of classes of the subsequent term.
A member is any person who has a current RecSports membership, which was purchased directly or through student fees.
A nine-month membership is valid for three academic terms, is available for purchase during fall and winter terms, and is activated on the day of purchase. A 9-month membership that is purchased during fall term expires on the first Friday of the following summer term. A 9-month membership that is purchased during winter term expires on the first Friday of the following fall term.
The OSU community (aka non-member) is that population with a formal relationship with Oregon State University, as evidenced by an OSU ID card. This includes pre-enrolled and extended students.
An OSU graduate is any person who graduated from OSU and is a member of the OSU Alumni association, as evidenced by transcripts and Alumni Association member card.
A student who has been admitted to OSU but has not yet registered for classes, as evidenced by the OSU Identification Center, is in pre-enrolled status.
People with a special university relationship include temporary OSU employees, Recreation Center instructors, Hilton Garden Inn employees, employees of the Corvallis office of the Environmental Protection Agency, and others with a short-term stay, deemed appropriate, on a case-by-case basis, by the Recreational Services Coordinator.
To sponsor a guest means using one’s own membership status to purchase a daily pass for a guest.
A student is any person who is currently enrolled in classes and paying full OSU incidental fees, as evidenced by the OSU identification center. This includes undergraduate, graduate, professional, distance education, and dual-enrolled persons.
Staff is anyone filling a classified position at OSU, as evidenced by the OSU identification center.
A term membership is valid for one academic term. It is available for purchase from dead week of the prior term until half of the term has passed. (During fall term, sales begin on the day after Labor Day.) A term membership is activated on the day of purchase and expires on the Friday of the first week of classes of the subsequent term.
A University Affiliate Faculty is an OSU faculty who is working for a short duration (less than a year), on a volunteer or collaborative basis, without a formal appointment.
Members may sponsor up to two guests per day. Faculty/staff with current ID may sponsor themselves plus one guest.
Those who are not eligible for membership to Dixon Recreation Center may still use the climbing center.
