Cardio machines include Stairmasters, EFX (Elliptical Fitness Cross-Trainer), treadmills, Upper Body Ergometer, rowing machines, recumbent and upright bicycles. Ten TV’s are available for viewing, with sound provided through your personal radio and headphones.
Cardio machines are similar to those in Cardio Room 1. The room overlooks the pool and gymnasium.
Located west of 35th Street, at the end of Jefferson Way, the Challenge Course is on a six-acre site just off campus that includes six high-course elements, 15 low-course elements, and field space to accommodate large and small groups. The Challenge Course programs also use McAlexander Fieldhouse and other indoor facilities during the winter months.
All of our meeting/classroom space is completely wired for internet access and multi-media.

There are three multipurpose rooms with a total of 10,000 sq. ft. of suspended wood floors. MP 1 is primarily used for group exercise programs. MP 2 has full mat coverage. It also has kick bags and a small attached room with speed bags. MP 3 is outfitted for indoor cycling classes.
Located at the East Entry of Dixon Recreation Center, our facility boasts three types of climbing surfaces - Crystal Plywood, Imprint and Freeform. Features include a 42’ height, multi-pitches, bouldering cave, hang boards, universally accessible rappel station, cracks arêtes and overhangs.
Two three-court gyms in Dixon Recreation Center provide space for volleyball, badminton and basketball simultaneously along with other activities.

Located at 30th and Jefferson, 26th and Intramural Way, and 15th and Western Avenue, these outdoor fields are used for Intramural and Sport Club practices and games. Please respect signage on fields for closures.
Located at Jefferson Ave and Benton Way, the fieldhouse includes a multipurpose court and artificial turf field providing space for a variety of sports and activities. Space can be reserved up to two days in advance through Dixon Recreation Center. (541)737-2202.
Located in Dixon Recreation Center. The HFC has a Testing lab and rehabilitation/treatment areas for Athletic Training, Comprehensive Fitness Evaluation, Health Promotion, Massage Therapy, Nutrition Services, 1 on 1 Fitness Programming, Physical Therapy, Beaver Strides Waling Program.
Dixon Locker rooms include showers, restrooms, a dry sauna, a Suitmate to dry your swimsuit and hair dryers. There is a private or family changing room near the pool. Free daily locker and towel service are available.
Located at the east entry to Dixon Recreation Center, the Outdoor Recreation Center includes a resource area for maps, river and snow reports and computer access.
Nearby are the self-service bike, ski and snowboard workshop, a classroom with attached kitchen, and an extensive outdoor equipment rental service center.
Stevens Natatorium is located in Dixon Recreation Center. The lap pool (81.5 degrees) is 8 lanes, 25 yards, and hosts the OSU Women’s Swim Team meets. In addition, the Natatorium includes a 14’ deep dive well (83 degrees), 16 person hot tub (104 degrees) and a sundeck.
This office area provides membership and locker sales, program registration, scheduling for building tours, appointments for the Health and Fitness Connection, and general information.
Located on the third floor of Dixon Recreation Center. A three-lane, 1/10 mile suspended track provides indoor running, jogging or walking options, plus room for stretching.
Located on the first floor of Dixon Recreation Center, this area includes selectorized weight equipment, plate-loaded weight equipment, and a variety of free weights and benches. Equipment choices include Cybex, Magnum, Ivanko and Irongrip.
Located on the first floor of Dixon Recreation Center. A smaller, more personal space with selectorized weight equipment. This room is closed for 1-3 hours per day for instructional programs such as circuit training classes.
