POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

Eligibility is limited to OSU students, staff, faculty, or affiliates with a current OSU ID card.

Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Reservations must be made in person with full payment. Each member may rent equipment to outfit two persons, or two water craft.

Cancellations must be made three working days prior to the day of pick-up for a full refund. Cancellations can be made in person or by phone during regular business hours.

Equipment pick-up is at the ORC by 5:00pm on the designated day. Please inspect all equipment thoroughly, and if necessary ask for assistance before leaving the ORC.

Returned equipment must be in same condition as when it was checked out and must be returned by 5:00pm on the designated day. No refunds are made for equipment returned early.

Dirty, damaged, lost equipment, repair, cleaning, or replacement cost will be assessed and charged to the renter. The ORC does not offer insurance on damaged equipment. Please treat the equipment with care so it may be enjoyed by others.

Please enjoy the wilderness but remember to let others enjoy it after your visit. Resources are available at the Outdoor Center to learn more about what you can do to leave no trace in the wilderness!
