BBQ
The Queer Resource Center started off the year celebrating our third year of operation with a free BBQ and reception on October 10th, 2003. This was also the kickoff for a number of Queer History Month Programs!

Connection Fair
In the week before Fall term 2004, members from the Pride Center and Rainbow Continuum, together with the "Bridges" Speaker's Bureau, put together a "Guess the Hetero" game show panel. Many freshmen and returning students tested their 'gaydar' in attempts to identify each of the panelists.

Covenant Signing
The signing of the Pride Center covenant by the leadership of Oregon State University ensures for posterity that there will always be a pride center, a place where all students can congregate without fear or hate.

Fall 2004 Staff Training
During September of 2004 staff members came together representing the Asian and Pacific Cultural Center, Black Cultural Center, Centro Cultural Cesar Chavez, Native American Longhouse, and the Pride Center. The new staff members had the opportunity to work as a team and bond with each other before the start of the school year.

Grand Opening Celebration
On September 11th 2004, the Pride Center officially opened it's doors at our new location on the south-eastern edge of campus. After operating from an office located within the Women's Center, we finally had our own free-standing building. The new location opened for business with a full-scale celebration featuring guest speakers, dinner, and music by Amadan.

Ice Cream Social
The Queer Resource Center celebrated the begining of Winter Term with an Ice Cream Social on January 21, 2004. We had a great turnout and many enjoyed the the free food and icecream (dairy and non-dairy).

Lavender Graduation
On June 10th, 2004, Oregon State University held it's second annual Lavender Graduation Celebration. Graduates from the 2003-2004 academic school year were honored and recognized for their accomplishments and academic achievements. Jackie Balzer, Dean of Students, gave the Key Note speech at the ceremony. Eighteen graduates participated in this event.

Marriage Matters
On Tuesday, October 19th, 2005, Beth Crawford, Dr. Mina Carson, and Dr. Lani Roberts discussed different aspects of same sex marriage and it's importance to our society. The program was put on by the LGBT Services Office at OSU.

Move In Day

The Pride Center staff and volunteers spent the weekend before October 11th, 2004 to unpack books, pamphlets, computers and more from storage. This was the first time many of us had seen the inside of our new center!

NGLTF Conference
Several representatives from OSU were sent to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Creating Change Conference in St. Louis during November of 2004. The Creating Change Conference is held annually, and is an opportunity for activists and organizers to come together. We shared a network of ideas and attended conference sessions with other representatives from around the country.

Open House
Along with the other campus cultural centers, the Pride Center kicked off the year with an open house featuring free food for all.

Portland Pride
On June 20th, 2004, the Pride Center walked in the Portland Pride parade to advertise its new name, location and "coming out" celebration on October 11th.

Pride Center Development

Pride Panels
Students participating in the Pride Panels Speakers Bureau met in Fall term 2005 for training for speaking on a panel.

The amazing adventures of Pride Week 2005!

Winter Retreat 2006
The cultural center winter retreat is a time for teambuilding and a chance to get to know the members of the other centers.
