Application Procedures and Fees

Application Procedures

Applications for the 2010 program are no longer being accepted.  See you this summer or in 2011 Winter Wonderings.

Class sizes are limited. Applications are processed in the order in which they are received and must include tuition. The application deadline is December 31, 2009; however, late applications are accepted for courses which still have spaces available.

Check the courses page for the applicant's grade level before mailing an application to determine if any course(s) is already filled. However, indication on this website that a course still has openings is not a guarantee that the course will still be available at the time an application is processed.

A complete application includes:

  1. A check made payable to OSU to cover tuition AND
  2. The completed Personal Data Form (for 3rd/4th grader or for 5th/6th grader) AND
  3. For applicants new to OSU's TAG programs, the Eligibility Verification Form (found on the bottom of the Personal Data Form) completed by a TAG coordinator or school administrator

Course confirmation and program information will be sent by U.S. mail to participants the second week of January. Subsequent program information will be sent to the e-mail address provided on the Personal Data Form. Please assure that you can receive e-mail from winter@oregonstate.edu

Fees

Winter Wonderings is funded by student fees and tax deductible donations. Tuition is $65 for one 6-session course; $130 for two 6-session courses; $195 for three 6-session courses.
Late Fee - A $10 service fee must accompany applications postmarked after January 1, 2010.

The amount of your check indicates the number of courses your child plans to attend. Supply fees will be billed after course assignments have been made.

By including a donation with your child's tuition you will assist another child whose family's financial situation would not allow them to otherwise benefit from participaton in a Winter Wonderings course. Please note donation amount on your check's memo line.

Refund Policy - If a course must be cancelled prior to the first session due to lack of enrollment, a full refund will be granted. If it is necessary for a child to withdraw from Winter Wonderings, notification in writing must be received ASAP. After January 11, 2010 any refund will be limited to 75% of the tuition. After January 15, 2010 a refund is limited to 50% of the tuition.
