Application Procedures Creating art

Applications still being accepted

1) Letter from applicant answering the following:
In at least two paragraphs of several sentences each describe your interests and tell how you pursue them.
2) Letter from parent or guardian:
• approving the applicant's participation in Expeditions
• describing special strengths and abilities of the applicant, and
• stating benefits anticipated from the applicant's participation in Expeditions.

Information in these two letters is not used as admission criteria, but is meant to aid Expeditions staff in meeting needs of participants when courses and activities are being planned. Neat, presentable information would be appreciated.

3) Completed Personal Data Form
 
4) For new applicants only:
• Applicants qualifying under Eligibility Criterion a, b, or c must have a TAG coordinator, school administrator or school counselor provide qualifying information on the Personal Data Form.
• Applicants qualifying under Eligibility Criterion d must submit two completed Reference Forms.
One Reference Form is to be completed by a TAG Coordinator, teacher, school administrator, or school counselor.
• The second Reference Form is to be completed by a parent or out-of-school adult who has worked with the applicant, such as an instructor, club leader, or coach.

Exploring ScienceParents of home school students are to submit a copy of the most recent test results.

Incomplete applications will not be processed

Notification of acceptance to Expeditions and the course packet will be sent in early April to the email address listed on the Personal Data Form. Students then select courses in which they wish to participate. These selections must be returned with a $50 nonrefundable deposit. The balance is due July 1, 2008.
