Choosing a college is a lot like shopping for any big-ticket item like a house or a car — consumers demand quality and value. And Oregon State University delivers.

Researchers at Oregon State University have patented a new strain of dulse, a succulent red marine algae that tastes like bacon when it’s cooked.

Yuriy Mikitchenko earned an Oregon State MBA without ever setting foot on the Corvallis campus. A Sales Manager at Zones, an international IT solutions provider in Portland, Mikitchenko earned his MBA in Executive Leadership through an online/hybrid program offered in Portland. 

There’s a lot of excitement, anticipation and even expectation surrounding the Gary Andersen era in Corvallis. And that’s about as far as it goes.

A familiar face returned to Oregon State’s campus this summer. With 25 years of athletics administration experience, Todd Stansbury began his new role as vice president and director of intercollegiate athletics on Aug. 1.

College of Business Dean Ilene Kleinsorge was recognized by Portland Business Journal as the 2015 Woman Executive of the Year for nonprofits. Kleinsorge, who is retiring at the end of June after 12 years as dean, has compiled a long list of accomplishments at Oregon State.
